Woody Harrelson gushes over co-star Laura Dern and Sundance Film Festival hit “Wilson”

This year’s Sundance Film Festival featured a most eclectic character in the hilariously honest, “Wilson,” starring Woody Harrelson and Laura Dern. Harrelson was captured by the story at first read, “I thought it was a fascinating script,” Harrelson raves, “I just thought the story was terrific, beautiful story.” On a quest to find his long-lost family, the obliviously unfiltered Wilson tracks down his ex-wife in hopes that together they can search for the daughter she put up for adoption 17 years prior. “He’s a really interesting character,” Harrelson explains, “I think he would consider himself a people person but he has no filter. He says things that are just maddening to people. In a way, he’s anti-social and in a way he’s gregarious, and the mix of it is really interesting to me.” On camera, the awkward dynamic between Wilson and Pippi (Dern) is nowhere near the professional chemistry the two had. “It was cool because you know, as the character, I fell in love with Laura Dern. She’s so completely immersed in what she’s doing. So believable, every moment. We had this incredible time together.”
