The Top Swimsuit Trends for 2019

Hello Summer, and hello to new swimsuit trends! Say goodbye to the fashion of last summer while we look at the top swimsuit trends of the season. First, there are a few trends that need to go. Sadly, the basic triangle bikini didn’t make the cut and slogan one-piece swimsuits are also on the downfall. While we loved these two styles in 2018, change is a good thing. Stick to these next few trends and you’ll be ready to get your tan on in no time.

High-cut

It’s no secret that the high-cuts are back, and we are loving it! Billabong picked up the trend and ran with it. They have gorgeous bikinis and one-pieces like the mustard one in this article. This style is great for making your legs appear longer than they are and it’s a nice deviation from the typical low cut bottom. (Billabong; $110)

Crochet

Crocheting isn’t just for grandma anymore. All across the major swimwear lines, we are seeing crochet in one-pieces, two-pieces, and coverups. It’s the trend you can’t get away from, and trust us, you don’t want to. It’s super soft! (Target; $23)

Underwire

The retro style has definitely made a comeback, and with it is the underwire top. Let’s be honest, it’s practical, it looks cute and it keeps everything in place. We are glad this trend is back and we hope it stays for years to come. Everything But Water has some of the cutest underwire tops around, check out their site for a variety of styles. (Everything But Water; $81)

Animal Prints

A lot of trends come and go, but some (like animal print) never go away. This classic yet spunky print is on our trend list because it’s a cornerstone of the perfect summer swim collection. Whether you choose, cheetah, zebra or snake print – all of them are winners in our book. Even this isn’t your style, take a walk on the wild side this summer, you won’t regret it. (Mara Hoffman – Abigail suit; $140)
