A Drinkable Sunscreen?!
Posted On Jun 09, 2016
Allow me to explain. Laguna Beach-based dermatologist Bobby Awadalla, MD, created a vitamin supplement that is formulated to protect and repair your skin from sun damage. It’s called UVO and it’s pretty awesome (and unique). UVO’s ingredients work from the inside out making it a healthy, easy, convenient and tasty way to healthy skin.
So basically, sunscreen + Vitamins + H2O = UVO!
I cannot say this guy lacks innovation. UVO was made for everyone that is exposed to the sun especially those with an active outdoor lifestyle. Here’s how it works:
- Drink one UVO before sun exposure for 3-5 hours of supplemental sun protection from head to toe including your eyes.
- Drink after overexposure to the sun to help soothe the skin.
- Drink daily to repair years of sun damage, provide anti-aging benefits, beautify the skin and promote overall health and wellness.
UVO celebrated the official launch of the product line with a star-studded red carpet soiree. A few of the attendees stopped to chat with New You about this fantastic new product and their personal tips and tricks to staying fresh, beautiful, and fit.
Real Housewife, Vicki Gunvalson, offered her beauty tips to New You saying that taking care of her skin is a priority from wearing sunscreen and rocking a hat to laying off the stress. When it comes to stress management, Vicki’s got some solid tactics and advice. The OC mom says, “I manage my stress well, I know it’s going to come at me so I journal a lot, meditate and read my Bible.”
Listen to the full interview with Vicki below as she talks more about her fitness routine and how she lost 22 pounds on a special diet, how she jump started her metabolism, her fave makeup looks and also her sensitivities on being a reality television star.
Next up is Taylor-Ann Hasselhoff, one of the stars of E!’s RichKids of Beverly Hills and David Hasselhoff’s daughter. ‘Tay’ talks about her skin routine which includes an organic skincare line called Éminence, exfoliating, collagen booster, sunscreen and masks every couple of days for hydration. The young Hasselhoff goes into her fitness routine, which if she is anything like her father, is probably pretty intense. She also raves about clean eating and drinking tea after 7 PM (instead of scarfing down food.) Here more from the talented actress and musician below:
Basketball Wives of LA member, Laura Govan, talks about her challenges as a mom of four and her beauty routine. “I use zest soap for my face wash and Lancôme makeup. I don’t do anything special, I have four kids so.” Same goes for the reality star’s eating habits as she goes on to say that she isn’t the type of person to eat salads and nuts. “I eat burgers, fries, pasta, sweets, junk, I EAT. I live!” Hear more from the baseball wife and her journeys below:
Bobby Awadalla, MD
We caught up with the man of the hour, Dr. Bobby Awadalla, creator of UVO and a sought after dermatologist. “UVO was created from a need that I saw everyday from my patients. We need to make it easier for people to protect themselves from sun damage. What’s easier than a powerful, tasty drink that will give you the vitamins that your body needs to protect itself from the sun.”
The entrepreneurial MD goes on to talk about best skin care practices, how often you should visit a dermatologist and more. See the full interview below with Bobby Awadalla below:
