With so many articles and health videos out there and each having a different opinion on how to achieve a healthy life, it can be quite the challenge figuring out what really works for you.

It can also be extremely discouraging when we scroll through our social media feeds and see the top fitness gurus making daily workouts and plant-based diets seem like a piece of cake (the cake you still want).

Luckily, there are still simple steps you can take to live a healthier life to ultimately become a healthier you. Before you toss out all your sweet tooth cravings and trade in your television for a treadmill, try implementing these simple habits in your daily routine for effective results.

  • Swap Out Candy for Fruit

Scrambling through your nightstand drawer for your favorite sugary treat is the best way to satisfy your sweet cravings, or so you thought. Try substituting all that refined sugar for a natural alternative such as fruits. Berries, pineapples, apple slices, and grapes are all great sources of nutrients and vitamins that won’t leave you feeling sluggish or give you a sugar rush you just can’t handle.

No, really. If you’re one of those people who can’t stand the tasteless taste of H2O, try throwing in a few lemons or strawberries for a healthy way to detox while still remaining hydrated.
