PIA TOSCANO SAYS SHE TRIES TO LIVE HOLISTICALLY
Posted On Jan 30, 2017
American singer, Pia Toscano, feels it is important to try and live holistically. “I realized that everything you put into your body affects the way you feel,” she says. “We need to be conscious of what we put into our body and also drink lots of water.” NEW YOU caught up with Toscano at the Sky Diamonds All Star Event benefiting the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital. “I am a huge hockey fan,” she gushed. “I sing for the LA Kings who are like family to me so I am very excited to be at this event tonight and I love Children’s Hospital.” When it comes to fitness Toscano is a huge fan of Barry’s Boot Camp. “I have an amazing trainer, Tory Drake, and I also just discovered Orange Theory which I love,” she added. “I discovered I have a low resting heart rate so I can never get into the orange no matter how hard I work, but I am very competitive and I just have to keep pushing myself.” Before her workout, Toscano drinks a protein shake, makes sure she stays completely hydrated during the workout and eats some protein after the workout. “I can get really hungry after so I just have to control myself,” she laughs. “My mom always tells me about the 15 minute rule – after you have eaten wait 15 minutes to see if you are full.” We will certainly try that as well.
