Sweet Potato Toast For The Win

We’ve found your next favorite breakfast treat, and these days, once something is blogger approved  and Instagram worthy, you know it’s real.

If you’re a fan of avocado toast, and you woke up one morning realizing that you were out of bread, you’d probably lose it, right? Well, not anymore.

Now you can simply toast slices of sweet potato and add your desired toppings to make what can only be described as GENIUS.

Let’s paint a picture together:

What you’ll need: Sweet Potato + Toaster

What to do: Simply slice potato into quarter-inch slices and pop them into the toaster (no pre-boiling necessary) Place toaster on the highest setting and toast potato slices twice. Then, just add your favorite toppings and voila! You have yourself sweet potato toast.

Here are some tasty options to try:

  • Almond butter with bananas
  • Avocado slices
  • Eggs with bacon
  • Ham slices and spinach
  • Tuna
  • Berries

Why you need it: It’s no surprise that sweet potatoes are packed with nutrients. They’re definitely healthier than opting for your usual bread (even wheat). Sweet potatoes are packed with calcium, potassium, Vitamin C and A.
