5 Tips to Actually Remember Your Memorial Day Weekend

What would the land of the free be without the freedom to enact our freedom of expression through a celebratory drink or two? Memorial Day Weekend is soon approaching and I want you to enjoy it to the fullest, but I also want you to actually remember your eventful holiday weekend and be able to make it to work on Tuesday.

Here are five easy tips to actually enjoy your Memorial Day Weekend festivities without stretching your limits:

  1. Snack Attack

If you have the chance, munch on protein or any heavy snack in between drinks and of course, eat before a night of celebration.

  1. Water Is Your Best Friend

Alcohol can contribute to dehydration because it’s a diuretic which causes you to pee. Stay hydrated and drink lots of water throughout the day to maintain a healthy hydration level.

  1. Do Not Mix Drinks

As the old saying goes “beer before liquor, never been sicker; liquor before beer, you’re in the clear,” pick one liquor and commit to it.

  1. Lots of Sleep (post-drinking)

Drinking can cause a lot of unrest, but if you can get some good sleep, it will help your body recover.

  1. Do Not Order Your Favorite Drink or Food

 You are more likely to overdo your celebrations with food and drinks that are your favorites.
