The Jungle Book Reveals Jaw-Dropping Photos

All of our childhood dreams have finally been brought to life! The animated movie, The Jungle Book is gearing up for a live-action remake. Some of the Hollywood heavy-hitters included in the Disney release are Idris Elba, Scarlett Johansson, Bill Murray, Christopher Walken, and Lupita Nyong’o [just name dropping a few]. To further add to our extreme excitement, a series of insanely awesome photos have been released featuring the stars posing next to the animals they will be voicing in the upcoming theatrical release.

Let’s start with Shere Khan (Idris Elba). “Shere Khan reigns with fear. He terrorizes everyone he encounters because he comes from a place of fear,” Elba said. We wonder if his theme song is Katy Perry’s, “Roar?”

Up next, Lupita Nyong’o as Raksha! “She is the protector, the eternal mother. The word Raksha actually means protection in Hindi. I felt really connected to that, wanting to protect a son that isn’t originally hers but one she’s taken for her own,” said the Oscar award-winning actress.

Akela is the father of Mowgii’s adoptive circle and is voiced by none other than, Giancarlo Esposito.

The legendary Christopher Walken lends his vocal talents as King Louie. When asked about his character Walken, had this to say, “King Louie is huge,12 feet tall, but he’s as charming as he is intimidating when he wants to be.”

The one and only Scarlett Johansson looks fierce, fabulous, and quite stunning while posing alongside an image of a gigantic life-size python, Kaa! According to the 31-year-old beauty, “Kaa seduces and entraps Mowgli with her storytelling. She’s the mirror into Mowgli’s past. The way she moves is very alluring, almost coquettish,” she said.

Last but not least, Sir Ben Kingsley is also known as the suave black panther, Bagheera. “His role in Mowgli’s life is to educate, to protect, and to guide. My Bagheera was military – he’s probably a colonel. He is instantly recognizable by the way he talks, how he acts, and what his ethical code is,” Kingsley said.
