Tips for Hosting Game Night with Friends
Posted On Jun 05, 2019
Hosting a game night is a great way to get together with your friends without breaking the bank. So, call your girls because we’ve put together a few tips for planning the ultimate evening at home that’ll be sure to have your guests saying “let’s do this again!”
Official Guest List – Having the right mix of people is essential to having a fun, lively, and entertaining evening. It’s also a great opportunity for your different circle of friends to come together and exchange in a mini meet and greet.
Get Festive – If you want to spice things up, why not center the night on a specific theme? Whether your guests come dressed in costumes or you decide to take decorating to another level, let’s just say it will make the night much more interesting!
Space Preparation – Having limited space should not discourage you from hosting a night full of fun. Rearranging a few items here and there is an easy solution to fix your problem! It will also help you determine the type of games you are able to play throughout the evening.
Food Arrangement – Do not wait until the last minute to finalize the food and cocktail menu. Preparing ahead of time will help alleviate stress in making sure everything comes together perfectly.
Put ‘em to Work – Have your friends help you bust out some suds and join together for a dishwashing sesh. It’s fun, interactive, and you don’t have to wash dirty dishes during the aftermath. You can thank one of my good gal pals Julie for the suggestion!
Let the Games Begin – Choosing the right selection of games can make or break your night. Consider the various personalities of each individual and if you are undecided, it does not hurt to ask your guests to bring one of their fave games.
Guest Treats – Regardless if certain guests win or lose, sending party favors home with everyone is an added touch. Everyone will leave feeling super special!
Make it a Memorable Night – Planning any type of soirée can become overwhelming because you want to make sure everything is perfect but DO NOT allow the small stressors get the best of you! Once the guests begin to arrive, let your hair down, and have some fun!
Hopefully these tips will help you to have a game-winning night!
