Wilmer Valerrama was accompanied by his mother Sobeida last night at the 2016 Actors Fund’s “Looking Ahead Awards” in Los Angeles. He was there to honor his parents, Sobeida Valderrama and Balbino A. Valderrama with the Judy and Hilary Swank award for parenting. The actor spoke about his gratitude for his parents and life. “We came from a really tough place,” he said. “Not only do we live in the best country in the world, but we also have it in us to achieve great things.” When asked about his health, he says each morning he feels he has “won.” “How you feel is how you manifest what you can achieve, so the happier you can be, the faster you can be successful,” he added. Valderrama also feels it is important to take care of your mind and to know when to take some time in a day to just shut down for a while. “When you invest in your thoughts, you can hopefully build a more efficient road as to where you want to go,” he said. “It is really a state of mind.” Valderrama also hopes for more sleep in 2017.
