New You Age Defying Tip: Discover the difference between BB, CC and DD cream and test out different brands to determine your preference.

The “alphabet” skincare trend started out with BB creams, which literally translates to ‘beauty balm.’ Beauty balms are designed to offer sun-protection, moisture and a hint of color in one single product. CC creams came along next with a slightly different formula and range of benefits. CC stands for ‘color correcting’ cream and is primarily designed to even skin tone with perfecting coverage supplemented by a hefty dose of anti-oxidants. DD ‘daily defense’ creams arrived most recently on the beauty scene and promise to deliver more benefits than its predecessors.

Bottom line: All of these creams offer sun protection while providing light skin perfecting coverage. CC and DD creams also contain anti-aging specific ingredients. For most people, the differences are subtle. BB and DD creams tend to have a thicker, creamier texture whereas CC creams are lighter and oilier. The choice is yours!
