Do You Chai?

New You Health Tip: Drink more chai for its superfood ingredients.
Luckily, chai tea is sold everywhere from grocery stores, to teashops, to commercial chains, but unfortunately, it’s not always fresh. Before ordering your next chai tea latte (a deliciously rich treat), instead ask for fresh tea, mixed with a steamed milk of your choosing, and with the proportion of sugar that is right for you. Not only does chai still provide a caffeine kick due to its black tea component, it is soothing and spicy all at once. The list of health benefits is far too long, but the highlights are worth noting: lowered cholesterol, improved memory and brain function, improved digestion and immune system, cancer cell inhibition, muscle pain relief, and relief from common respiratory issues. How is that possible? Cinnamon, clove, cardamom, black pepper, ginger, and star anise are all spicy components of chai tea that make it amazingly healthy. Enjoy!
