Relief from Arthritis: Flax Seed Oil?
Posted On Jan 05, 2013
Flax seed is often believed to be a natural cure for arthritis and now we know why. Flax seed oil’s main content, Omega-3 fats, helps the body produce anti-inflammatory hormone-like molecules that reduce the inflammation associated with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis. Simply take one tablespoon of flax seed oil three times daily. If you decide the taste is too strong and want to incorporate it in your meals instead, make sure you use it as an addition to your already-cooked or prepared food. Cooking with flax seed can actually turn it into a ‘bad’ fat and strip it of a lot of its nutrients.
Try the following:
• For breakfast, add flax seeds to your cereal, muffin or bread, or mix ground flax seeds into chocolate/strawberry milk or orange juice.
• For lunch and dinner, flax seeds can be ground and sprinkled directly onto almost any meal.
