Thankful for Zumba: Post-Thanksgiving Weight Remedy

Thanksgiving, the time of year when we are thankful for everything in our lives except for the extra pounds that have been gained. The 10 pound turkey, the endless mounds of mash potatoes and the sugary goodness of grandma’s apple pie are all staples of this gluttonous holiday. Be as it may, revel in all that is Thanksgiving because all is not lost! What if I told you there was a way to get one of the best workouts of your life without even realizing it?!

Dancing and “shaking it” to beats of hip-hop, salsa, merengue and mambo sounds more like a night out with your girlfriends rather than a workout class, which is why I am thankful for Zumba. In this high- energy 60 minute class, you will be combining dance and aerobic elements to burn anywhere from 300-700 calories! The choreography in Zumba targets the core, legs and glutes. In other words, you’ll come out looking like J Lo and dancing like Shakira. It’s a win win!
