As soon as a new year begins, most of us vow to become a better version of ourselves in some way. We make resolutions concerning different aspects of our lives; the most common involving our health. Recently, juice cleanses have become a popular way to jump-start a healthier you. There are hundreds of different companies that bottle and sell prepared juice cleanses for a variety of time periods as well as information on how to create your own. What there is a lack of is information on what to do after your cleanse is over. Do you jump right back into eating steak for dinner or is there a process? Below is a loose guideline on how to wean yourself back onto a solid diet for the first two days after a juice cleanse.
Post Cleanse
Day 1 –
AM: Fruit
Lunch: Fruit or Raw Vegetables
PM: Steamed Vegetables or Salad (homemade dressing) or Vegetable/Legume soup
Day 2-
AM: Fruit
Lunch: Raw Vegetables or a salad w/ Quinoa or Sweet Potatoes
PM: Salad (homemade dressing) and Quinoa
