The Indian Anti-Aging Diet

NEW YOU Anti-Aging Tip: Consider the “Indian diet” as a calculated approach to slowing down the aging process.

An article in The Times of India entitled “Forever Young” lists their top six anti-aging foods starting with cruciferous vegetables (cabbage, cauliflower and broccoli), which should be eaten raw to help prevent cancer. Garlic and Ginger are the next recommendations reportedly because they help prevent influenza and the common flu (important especially during this flu season!). Omega-3s are next  (salmon and other fatty fish) because they act as an anti-inflammatory and brain supplement. The article goes on to cite a glass of red wine daily as it is “…all you need to juice up your damaged cells.” Indian Gooseberries is the next recommendation—aka Alma because it is a cheap and a rich source of Vitamin C. Finally tomatoes make the list because“they protect us from the harsh sun and help us prevent wrinkles.” True!
