The 5:2 Diet
Here’s a new take on the age-old calorie cutting routine. Introduced to the world by BBC’s Eat, Fast, Live Longer, the 5:2 diet plan says, put the calculator down for five days out of the week and eat a diet that is natural to you. On those other two days, eat only 500 calories per day. The theory expresses that a constant state of dieting causes the body to conserve fat rather than burning it. Conversely, the 5:2 diet keeps your body in a state of burning confusion.
