Are you hungry for more ways to save? In today’s economy, many of us are looking for ways to stay within our budget while still enjoying healthy meals. With a little organization and creativity, you can make choices that are not only healthy but also easy on your pocket.
Plan. Before you head to the grocery store, plan your meals for the week. This will prevent impulsive shopping and help incorporate healthy meals.
Go Local. Many cities host Farmer’s markets where local farmers bring their fresh produce to the masses. These markets provide fruits and vegetables that are in season, have more flavor, and are usually less expensive.
Cook large portions. Cook enough food that can stretch to multiple meals. This may take a little bit of time, but in the long run you will save your dollar and ensure that your meals are healthy.
