New You Beauty Tip: Pencil in at least 8 hours of quality sleep for aesthetically pleasing skin.
The term ‘beauty sleep’ was coined for a reason as the condition of your skin directly corresponds to the amount of sleep you get each night. Studies indicate that people who report getting “quality” sleep also have skin that recovers from environmental stress faster than those who receive little or “restless” sleep. Poor sleep quantity and quality are also directly linked to skin aging and the lack of ability for skin to repair itself overnight.. As a general rule of thumb, fall asleep with your television off and if possible, keep your cell phone in a separate room to ensure quality sleep.
